Vaccine
The commercials are motivating, children skipping rope, playing, having fun, and it reminds you that getting your daughter a shot will save her life and make you a hero. I’m sure you’ve seen the commercials for Gardasil. I would get a shot of that myself if it weren’t for a few things that the commercials don’t tell you.
PepcidA University of Pennsylvania study has shown that common drugs such as Nexium, Prevacid, Prilosec, etc, can increase your chances of having a fractured hip. These medications are commonly prescribed for "heartburn" or Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).
donkey

A farmer was out working one day when his donkey fell in the well. The animal cried for house as the farmer thought what to do. Finally he decided that the animal was old and need to be buried soon anyway, so he went and got a shovel.

brainIn a time when science seems to be making new discoveries almost daily, some very alarming findings have come to light recently. Scientists are re-discovering the brain, and we may be raising kids that can’t use theirs.
learning to writeBrian and Tiffany desperately want their daughter, Ashlyn, to succeed in  first grade.  That’s why they’re moving.  When they started Ashlyn in kindergarten last year, they had no reason to worry.  A bright child with twinkling eyes, Ashlyn was eager to learn... but by November, Ashlyn, then 5, wasn’t measuring up.
Stressed out
We always hear about it, we are told it isn’t good for us, but do we really know why?  Well if you’re wondering I’ll try and explain what happens internally when you’re under stress, and how it affects your body and health.

Stressed outDoes this picture remind you of YOU?  It happens to all of us at some point.  Little things keep piling on and everything needed to be done yesterday.  Bills, school, work neighbors, etc. all seem to work together to make you crazy at times.  It’s impossible to avoid stress, but we must learn to deal with it in order to live the long healthy lives we all hope for.

yogaSounds like a funny question, but most of you have probably heard people talking about their "core" and exercising their "core" muscles. So what exactly is our "core" and why does it seem to be so important these daysWhether you’re out walking the dog or climbing a flight of steps, you’re probably thinking more about what you’re going to make for dinner, or what’s on T.V. tonight than your core muscles.

quarters“The weight of a quarter on a spinal nerve will reduce the nerve impulses by up to 60%”

my dogsIt’s been great talking with you again, I hope you enjoyed the newsletter and found something interesting to take with you. Before I sign off again for a while, I’m going to leave you with a little story that a friend had sent to me. This has to do with a man and his dog. Why a dog? I don’t know, I just really like dogs. My wife says I talk about  them too much, but anyway. . .
diabetic injectionThere are two types of diabetes, type I which is inherited, and type II which is acquired.  In type I diabetes, the body does not produce insulin, so insulin needs to be consistently supplemented through injections to help the body break down and metabolize carbohydrates and sugars.  This type accounts for less than 10% of the diabetes cases in the U.S.

Our bodies crave alignment. When our bodies are properly aligned, it is our bones and ligaments, that support our weight thus decreasing the amount of stress our muscles are under throughout the day. The benefit of proper alignment is that we feel healthier, have more energy, and we can move more gracefully.

handsArthritis causes pain, disability, and restricted mobility to more than 40 million Americans. Until recently, degenerative joint conditions were considered to be "incurable" and the effects of old age to which were all bound to succumb. Recent breakthroughs in nutritional biochemistry, exercise physiology, and pharmacology, however , have begun to change the way health professionals , and the public at large, think about the prevention and treatment of arthritis.
